BMO Girls Play BC! 2024 Overview

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

BMO Girls Play BC! is an innovative girls’ soccer activation and leadership day, engaging girls through coaching and playing opportunities. The program will create a safe and inclusive environment where girls can:

• Enjoy a social setting;
• Play the game they love;
• Learn about coaching;
• Mentor and mentee with girl coaches and facilitators.

By participating in this program, girls will be inspired to stay in soccer longer and explore opportunities in coaching, refereeing, volunteering, and other pathways.

COACHES

Young female coaches aged 14-19 are invited to participate in a fun day of learning how to coach with support from a BC Soccer female coach developer. Participating coaches receive resources and FREE access to a Canada Soccer Grassroots online course.

PLAYERS

Registered female players will participate in small-sided games and enjoy a fun soccer afternoon free of cost, engaging with young female coaches for inspiration. Priority is given to Fundamentals age groups, but players up to U10 are welcome.

Introducing: BMO Kids Play BC!

BMO Kids Play BC! engages all youth through in-person training, coaching development, festivals, and learning experiences.
