Refereeing is an essential part of the game, and like Coaches and Players, Referees are athletes developing their craft. The Refereeing Pathway highlights opportunities to grow within the game, through regional competition, all the way to global events. Many BC Referees have achieved Regional, Provincial, National and even FIFA Level classifications.
Pursuing a Referee career has provided many individuals with incredible working environments, world travel, and unique, transferable skills, including self-discipline, conflict management and resolution skills, multitasking and people management skills. In this section, you’ll learn about the Referee Pathway and the programs that support your growth, along with important Annual Registration information.
You’ll find information on the Match-related discipline process for Referees in our membership section, while rules, regulations and additional support resources can be found in the Education section.
